The Doors Were Locked is a newsletter created and maintained by me, Kathryn, to provide comprehensive commentary for State of Idaho v. Bryan C. Kohberger. I like to create maps, diagrams, and spreadsheets to better organize and understand information. On occasion, I will also give my opinion on the investigation and court case. I will post as often as there are things to discuss.

I occasionally post theories about the case because I think it is important to take the evidence and see which threads connect everything together. Moreover, the best way to address bad theories is to present a stronger theory based in evidence and probability. Some of these theories may not pan out. From my perspective, that is fine, so long as I am thoughtful and cautious with my analysis.

I will always make the case resources that I create, e.g., the search warrant index, affidavit Google Map, and diagrams, available to the public at no cost.

I believe that it is important to understand information as much as possible. Doing so in this case will help us understand what happened in the past and foresee what will happen in court in the future.

I like to consume and understand information. I am not a true crime person, but I am interested in police investigations and the law. I am currently taking a break from my graduate studies in military strategy.
